I wouldn't exactly describe myself as a writer because I write on impulse nor a blogger because that happens every 5 months. I don't even read my blog until I'm about to post something. Back to the point, my name is Iman Habib Abdulkadir. I have roots stretching from Cameroon to Mali to Minna, Borno and finally Zamfara (maybe). I'm an introvert but a very good conversationist I promise you. I don't know how that works but it does. I'm an undergrad Urban Planning (major) and sociology (minor) student. Specialization in transportation, community development planning and environmental sustainability and urban design ISA. I'm a do it all kind of person LOL. I read. ALOT! Watch almost all the good TV shows (10 episodes or more a week during prime season), full time human diary 😂 and part time relationship mediator 😂 (I'm a really good listener not because I give the best advice but because I zone out halfway thinking of what new project to make plans for or food to eat). See with all this I don't have time to socialize but you could always catch me on Twitter or Instagram lurking about @iman_habeeb. A lot of people think I'm a guy because of the name. Being a sociologist I wouldn't have bothered with gender tags but I'm Nigerian and the difference matters a lot down there. I am a GIRL thank you very much. I hate tags so I wouldn't exactly call myself a feminist but at heart I am one. I believe in gender equity because my religion stands against oppression of the sexes (disregard whatever the media tells you. It's a lie and a campaign to make Islam look bad). I wear a hijab on a daily not because some old man told me to but because it is my shield against the evils on this earth and it completes me. It is my identity and I love standing out. I am happy. Someone said I was an 'overachiever'. I am very happy to claim all the positives that come with the word. My interests are very diverse. From architecture to master plans, to bike lanes, to world poverty alleviation, women and children empowerment, orphans, food, traveling and oxfords. I am everywhere and I enjoy being like that. I love flowers and have a fetish for beautiful eyes. I'm never bored. I enjoy writing but what you don't know is all the posts on this blog aren't complete. I start to write and zone off when I get to a certain point, thus, the irregular posts. In my short years I've met beautiful people that have shaped me into what I pray and hope is a better person. Two of these people are most responsible for the life I am living and the way I live it on a daily. They've taught me that this life is nothing but a chapter in a big book. What I do is what I get and is dependent on how people perceive and accept or reject me. It is all about everyone else before me and that is how I live every day I awake and decide if it's a sweat pants and trainers/sneakers, an ankle length chinos and oxfords, a legging and flats, a jean and combat boots or maxi dress and sandals kinda day. If it's a wash and go or a little mascara and lipstick kinda day. I find humor in the least funniest things and might be the most sarcastic person you'll come across. Lazy defines me 😂. I don't mind staying in bed all day in my pajamas, eat sushi and watching Greys anatomy. I'm that kind of girl. I find beauty in the smallest and weirdest things. I love flowers and chocolates. I live for Shonda Thursday's and on the border between neat freak and a comfortable organized messy person. I am a very very organized person (biggest reason I detach myself from people) . I love my scheduled life and the peace that comes with it. Basically I'm a nerdy weirdo 😆 and now you know. ❤️ I
